Aside from the movement speed, it seemed like an interesting concept. Really interested to see where you go next.

Thanks for the play and the video too!

I hope you like it because I am thinking about my next piece!

This game will remind you of Fatal Frame

Thanks for the play & video!

I like Japanese-style horror games, so I am not a little influenced by them.

I really enjoyed it! And I loved the atmosphere here and the setting was great, I hope more creepy stuff happens in the continuation, I liked the subtle scares, they were very neat, great job :)

Thanks for the play and the video too!

I hope you like the next one too!

Nice game, you still got me good even without jumpscares which is always great.

You may wanna make the walking speed a bit faster, can feel like a slog at some points.

Thanks for the play & video!

I dared to go this fast because it turned out that if I walked any faster, the fear would diminish.

Its well made, i anticipated a jumpscare thorough the whole gameplay and didn't get it, that's what made it scarier!

Thank you for the play and video!

I dared not to use jumpscares in this work, but focused on the atmosphere, and I hope you enjoyed it!

Really awesome short horror game especially for it being your first work. Great job of building up some dread and tension throughout the game. Can't wait to see what you make next! Awesome job!

Extremely well for a first game. I do have some (hopefully) constructive feedback. You move extremely slowly for the size the place seems (and with very little happening as you walk, it does get a little boring), also, it feels like a maze, but with no clear destination, or purpose, which I understand is the 'story' of the game, but it makes it difficult to stay with. The main issue is probably how quiet it is, and how little actually happens as you play (i.e, the 10 minutes I played I had one 'spooky' moment on the stairs, then nothing) Yes its dark, which would be great for the atmosphere, but with little else backing it. This game definitely has potential though!

Thank you for your play & advice!

As this was my first piece, it was most important to complete it. Therefore, I decided to make it a short piece, so if I employed running, the game might end quickly or I might miss a few scare scenes, so I decided to walk only.

Surprised that this is your first game! I feel that there is a subtlety to your scares that works well - I think if the experience were longer, I would have wanted quite a few more. As it stands, it feels like there could have been minor scares that people can see if they happen to - a figure draped over the roof, slipping out of view as you head outside the first time. Perhaps the sound of light, fast footsteps ahead of you that don't match your own.  I look forward to seeing you play around with more of this soft horror/"something is deeply wrong here" feeling in future games.

Thanks for the play and the video too!

My goal was to complete it, so I hope you enjoyed the scary atmosphere, not the long piece!

For your first game, the tension build up is fairly nice. A few things to point out going forward on future games

1. Be unique on the monster jumpscares if you use them. (i.e if you have a ghost, have the ghost walk on the player at the same time and as soon as the player stop, have the ghost keep going forward for a few seconds before disappearing and etc.)

2. Be mindful of your sounds. The player's footstep in this game was very loud while the ghost audio lines was very quiet. (And sometimes, less is more when it comes to tension building. Ex. no audio when exploring the house)

3. Try to lightly guide the player. This could be by events / notes in game etc. (Especially in walking sim horror games.)

Other then that, nice job on your first game. Keep it up.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/@Levont

There is actually a reason for the lack of jumpscares and the low voice of the ghost, and that part will be revealed when this continuation is released.

Since this is my first piece, my goal was to keep the game short and complete it first.

Thanks for the advice and play!

I was honestly expecting more jump scares within the playthrough which may have made it more horrifying when I was just exploring. The First scare was really good having the guy go behind you and talking to you. Subsequent scare like the guy behind the window when you were clearing the salt could have been triggered much earlier as looking at the window when triggering him causes him to just teleport in was more goofy than scary. Other than the two sections with meeting the ghosts, it was pretty decent keeping a scary environment.

Since this is my first game, my goal was to make a short game that wasn't a jumpscare.

I would like to study more about fear direction and use it in other games in the future!

Thanks for the play and the video too!

This is honestly a really good start for your first game! I wish you the best in your game dev journey :)

It was a horror game that made good use of the unique Japanese atmosphere! I had fun! (+ Some scenes have been edited to maximize horror.)

Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere! Thanks for the video too!

Thank you for making such a great game! Looking forward to the next episode.

Cool game!

Thanks for the play & video!

I really enjoyed the game! It was all kinds of spooky and the noises were making me nervous! The jumpscares were awesome too! The ending definitely leaves me wanting more, so I'll be here patiently waiting for a continuation! Awesome job!

Thanks for the play & video! We will be making more in the future.

Awesome! Can't wait to play them!
